Terry and Chris's home is a classic Tudor Bungalow, known and loved as "gingerbreads" in midtown Tulsa. Two bedroom, one bath, it is perfect for them and they knew it from the first moment they saw it in early 2016. It has been owned by only four or five families since 1929. One couple, Emma and Harvey Watson, owned the property from 1930 through 1973. The home has some unique original features and some tasteful updates. Perhaps one of the best features of this home is the integrity of the exterior brick and mortar. The buff colored brick and mortar has weathered the years extremely well which is a tribute to the original brick masons. I asked many friends and neighbors this question and several mentioned our featured home.  Standing out on a double-corner lot, the large Tudor revival has a sweeping roof line, large recessed dormer window, and covered porch.  The third owner, Mary Kingsolver Millard, was the longest owner of the property: 1965 to 2013. Many neighbors remember the bear statue that she kept on the front porch and decorated for every holiday. The three bedroom/one bath house was built in 1929 or 1930 and has had just three owners. The current owner bought it for $37,000 in 1978 after it had been on the market just three days. The house sits on a slight hill, so as we sat at the dining room table and looked out the windows there was a feeling of elevation and wonderful light. The owner pointed out that there have never been problems with plumbing or flooding as a result. The original arched front door has been maintained and preserved, including the special hardware.
