Linda and Yul  Tudor Revival ~ 2378 sq feet  3 Bedroom/2 Bath Full basement/Multi-level attic  Owners Interviewed on January 12, 2019 ***** Is there a particular home in the neighborhood that catches your eye or sparks your curiosity? I asked many friends and neighbors this question and several mentioned our featured home.  Standing out on a double-corner lot, the large Tudor revival has a sweeping roof line, large recessed dormer window, and covered porch.  The third owner, Mary Kingsolver Millard, was the longest owner of the property: 1965 to 2013. Many neighbors remember the bear statue that she kept on the front porch and decorated for every holiday. The bear was carved by Claremore chainsaw artist Clayton Coss .   Also by Coss, a carved eagle is forever perched on an old cedar tree on the Northeast part of the property. Penny and Jeremy Tudor Revival ~3,700 square feet,  3 bedroom/1 bath/2 living space three car garage and apartment full basement ***** Penny and her son Jeremy bought the home in 2008.  They didn't know much about the history of the home and asked me to see what I might be able to find. Let’s take a quick tour: The front door opens to a formal living room with a fireplace and leaded glass windows with arches. To the left is a space that was once a screened patio but has been enclosed for an extra room. A dining room, bedroom, large bathroom, open kitchen and den make up the remainder of the first floor. Stairs in the kitchen descend into the full basement where huge steel beams support the house. Jeremy had heard the builder was in the steel industry. This post we leave our beloved Renaissance Neighborhood and travel to the Crosbie Heights neighborhood of Tulsa. Crosbie Heights is situated South of Highway 412, West of Interstate 244, North of the Arkansas River with South 25th West Avenue as the Western boundary. We are visiting 1623 West Charles Page Boulevard, the Tulsa Cave House to be exact. If you have ever driven by the Cave House you have certainly craned your neck as you passed. It stands alone, nestled into the side of the hill and at first glance it looks like something straight out of The Flintstones. ___________________________________________________________________________ The Cave House is owned by Linda Collier who gives tours on a regular basis. They include a top to bottom showing of the house and tons of information.
